PTA

Everyone is welcome to attend PTA meetings and to become involved in the important and much valued work of fundraising for the school.

Meetings are held in the school or in one of the village pubs - The Bear Inn or The Stirrup Cup.

If you wish to contribute by volunteering for one of our activities, please sign up when the notifications go out.

In the Autumn term our focus will be the annual Fireworks Night - our main fundraiser for the year. We also arrange a Christmas Pop Quiz in the WI Village Hall.

In the Spring term the focus will be on Ascension Day which takes place in May of each year.

What can you do to help

There are many ways you as parents can help whether you're a behind the scenes helper, setting and clearing up or you just come along and support the event, all efforts are greatly appreciated. We always need that extra help whether it's donating a raffle prize, baking a cake, manning a stall, leaflet drops, posters displayed, every little helps in our fund raising efforts.

Every parent is a member of the PTA. Why not come along to a PTA meeting, set in the friendly surrounding of the Bear or the Stirrup Cup and add your ideas and suggestions, by networking together and pooling our resources and talents we can improve the quality of our children's time at our very special village school.

If you're unable to attend meetings but have a suggestion or would like your name added to the 'Volunteers List' why

not e-mail on the link below, marked for the attention of the PTA.

Special thanks.

Many thanks to the kind people of Bisley and the surrounding area for their support and charity in our fund raising

How we raise the funds

The PTA have many annual fund-raising events (see School Calendar) These include Fireworks Night, Xmas Fayre, Summer Fetes, Ball, Bingo and Quiz Nights, Fun Days and Car Boots. Other fundraisers are School Discos, Mufti days, the 100 Club, raffles and any other opportunities we can seize to raise funds.

How the funds are spent

The PTA provides the extra finance to improve the quality and enjoyment of our children's education. Some of the money is spent on materials and equipment, such as electronic equipment like DVDs, digital piano and ipads, plus the extra costs incurred of to install or maintain them.

Clubs may receive donations of equipment, for example the Country Dance Club received new outfits in 2011. The PTA have also bought a full range of Primary Athletics equipment. In 2016 the PTA bought ipads for class use.
Other PTA funds also go towards Coach trips, outings and the traditional whole school outing to a Christmas Panto.
Funds provide each class with a Christmas Gift and a leaving present when pupils finally leave Bisley Blue Coat in Year 6. The PTA also provided the Trim Trail which is enjoyed daily by the children.
